So I stood out in 10 degree weather this morning for the TODAY show. Normally you have to get there really early...I am talking 3-3:30am...to get a good spot in line. Apparently this isn't true when it's 10 outside. Oy. My friend Beverly was not as excited as I was to be out there freezing. Even though we were both miserable...she was even more so. She's not a Meredith groupie (I am the leader of that club!) so the freezing didn't come with a reward at the end for her. BUT she did warm up a few times at the Variety Cafe and Dean & Deluca's. So that made me feel better.

Anyway.

The hours of wind burn, frozen extremities, extremely chapped lips, etc...were so worth it to me! Not only did I make some new friends...but you know...got to see Meredith!!! I can't really post about what happened here because it's of sensitive nature (for me)...but wow...it was so incredible. (I will blog about it at my password protected website...so if you have access to that then...well...yeah.) I cannot say enough times how awesome she is. Seriously. They don't come better than her.

Tomorrow is a day of sightseeing (Beverly has never been to NY)...Sunday is Guys & Dolls (!!!!!!)...and Monday....TODAY...(yes...AGAIN damnit.) WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

It's 14 degrees right now but the wind chill is making it like 2 degrees or something. Sheesh. The wind is whipping like crazy and the snow is swirling around so how is it that I have the window OPEN, my ceiling fan AND my tower fan on and I am still hot? Fucking narcotics. I cannot wait to get off of these pain pills. HEAL BODY HEAL! NOW! Damnit!

Super Bowl Sunday. My favorite Sunday of the year. Those who are close to me know this but I must say...I. LOVE. FOOTBALL. And Super Bowl Sunday is like a holiday in my world. This year is even more exciting because the big game is being played at Raymond James Stadium! I miss Sundays in FL and my Bucs in Raymond James Stadium. Anyway. I am watching Matt Lauer interview our president right now and I just cannot say enough how much I LOVE listening to Obama speak! He is so intelligent and so well spoken...I actually don't cringe or get nauseated now when I hear the words "An interview with our president..." Bush was such a fucking idiot. Wow. Ok...I won't get on my Bush soapbox. Blah.

Back to happy thoughts...Faith Hill will be singing tonight! How amazing is she? Extremely. This is why I have been a fan of hers since she first came out and I have a letter from her to prove it. Yay me! And I know J is dying for the halftime show! She stalks...I mean loves...Bruce! ;D

Super Sunday. Yes it is. Yes it is.

AAANNNNDDDDDDDDDD.....next Sunday will be equally as SUPER in my life...I will be seeing LAUREN GRAHAM in Guys & Dolls on Broadway!!!!!! OMG just thinking about it makes me squeal with excitement! I will be first in line at the stage door afterward!!! I am going to ask her to sign my cast and one side of my insulin pump lol The other side is reserved for Meredith Vieira of course! (I had to send my other pump back to Animas because it died on me so I lost Meredith's autograph :() Which means that Monday morning I will be at the Today Show! Maybe the previous Friday too...not sure about that yet. We are getting into NYC about 1am Friday morning so I guess it depends on how tired we are.

So yeah....despite all the pain I am in...I have something to look forward to and that just makes me SO happy! Lauren Graham, Meredith Vieira, Famous Ray's, The Carnegie Deli, Junior's, the subway out to Coney Island, Aeropostale, etc... Next weekend is going to be amazing!

(Excuse my all-over-the-placeness of this post...the painkillers are scrambling my brain lol)

No...I haven't forgotten about this place and I will be making more icons soon...when I have mastered using a mouse left handed. *sigh*
